Did you know that you can redirect your Pennsylvania taxes to support tuition assistance for children in Catholic schools?
The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Special Purpose Entity (SPE) programs of Pennsylvania are great ways to make Catholic education more affordable for families in our community. This is the easiest way how to use your tax dollars AND help families afford Catholic education! If you owe more than $1,000 to Pennsylvania each year, please consider the Tax Credit Program!
Parishioners can receive up to a 90% tax credit against personal PA state tax liability by making a gift to Catholic education through either BLOCS, The Foundation for Catholic Education., or other approved scholarship organization. Any individual or company who wishes to take advantage of this tax-credit program may become a member of a Scholarship LLC (“LLC”). These special purpose entities (or SPE’s), exist for the sole purpose of participating in the tax credit program supporting the school(s) of your choice.
