All parishioners are welcome!
If you want to read the book of the month, please join us!
You can come to every session OR to whichever book is of interest to you.
The more the merrier!
We love to read and are trying to fill our minds with books and content that builds up our faith. We meet every other month, on Tuesday evenings, from 7-8:30pm. Our book selections for the year are listed below so give them a look and plan to join us!
"Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind"
~ Romans 12:2
"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
~~Philippians 4:8
Our book for the months of September & October is "Mother Angelica: The Remarkable Story of a Nun, Her Nerve, and a Network of Miracles" by Raymond Arroyo.
The jacket says,
"In 1981, a simple nun, using merely her entrepreneurial instinct and two hundred dollars, launched what would become the world's largest religious media empire. In the garage of a monastery in Birmingham, Alabama, the Eternal World Television Network grew at a staggering pace under her guidance. Mother Angelica (1923-2016) remains on the air through rebroadcasts of her original programs, offering faith-filled advice, hope, and laughter to her audience. Raymond Arroyo, through more than five years of exclusive interviews with Mother Angelica, offers the definitive biography, an intimate and revealing account that traces her tortuous rise to success and exposes for the first time the fierce opposition she faced, both outside and inside her church."
Join us in learning about this gutsy woman and her example of just how much God can accomplish when you say "yes" to His call on your life! See you in October!
